If this short story (great voice, by the way!) is an example of what you've got in store for us in COUNTERSTRIKE - count on seeing me in the long line at your first signing. I'd say that even if I didn't know you.

I really loved your story. In fact, I think there was only one line I didn't like.

One line in an entire story.

Well done. Great voice, character, pace, setting, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah... yeah, you're good, so what?

This is why I always I send daily updates of a draft manuscript to a few trusted third parties... :-D

Congratulations, amigo, and nicely done.

i enjoyed the piece, i'm always greatful when someone succeeds in making me laugh out loud...

i'm glad jorge shot you,
an artist needs a descent, quiet place to live, and if he's not willing to shoot at least one person, it's likely he doesn't have the balls to get his work published either...

i used to love going to the local community college, i used the free high speed connection and listened to the idiotic conversations...
the public computers there are in banks of three, i always chose the center one, when available, so i could look in on what was happening on the other two...99% of the time 'twas chat room, singles-surfing or on-line games...
actually that's 100% of what i witnessed, but am leaving 1% possibility that someone did some sort of work there, once...
i had to stop going, too many key slammers, cell-yappers, soda gulpers, gum gnawers, plus snack food crumbs and trash...kids in the digital age living like little hogs...

It was our pleasure to run the story. It makes everyone else look good by comparison.

Wow! Hey, I didn't see that one coming at ALL! Hah! The grass is always greener, eh?

I loved the twist. Thanks for the great read!

Good short story. Buildup was excellent and, of course, the surprise ending was..well, a surprise.
